The need was clear: create a mobile-first, Horizon Worlds game that grabbed attention instantly, felt native to the platform, and delivered the kind of fun that keeps players coming back for “one more slice.”
The brief demanded something bold, snackable, and skill-based - a game with a clear personality, a magnetic core loop, and the ability to expand into future seasons and challenges.
Built in collaboration with Meta, Chop & Drop is TEF doing what we do best: blending creativity, design, and tech to create a world you actually want to be in.
The Project

Cooking culture became the foundation for Chop & Drop: a game that captures the spirit of global cuisines, the adrenaline of a busy restaurant line, and the playful chaos that makes cooking so unforgettable.
It is built around a simple and intuitive loop: chop ingredients flying through the screen, follow recipes and deliver dishes - and you better do it fast because the clock is ticking. As shifts progress, ingredients speed up, recipes get more complex, and distractions become more intense, creating natural difficulty progression. One too many mistakes, and you're cooked.
At first glance, it looks simple.
But one step deeper reveals a world built on TEF’s signature recipe. The core loop is engineered for flow, speed, and that irresistible “just one more try” pull, paired with behavior-driven pacing designed around the attention patterns and session lengths of Horizon Worlds players. Its visual identity is bold and juicy, with lively ingredients and motion that make every interaction feel rich and playful. The storytelling brings attitude, turning the kitchen into a character of its own. All of it is supported by platform-native execution - optimized interactions, lightweight assets, and responsive physics that perform seamlessly on mobile without losing personality.
