NUC University VR Labs
How do you make nursing school feel real before students even apply? We built a VR journey that transforms campus tours into immersive career previews.

The Challenge
Winning Students in the Age of Digital Overload
Today’s prospective students scroll past hundreds of ads before breakfast. University brochures? Quickly forgotten. Email campaigns? Deleted without a glance. Campus tours? Too much commitment, too soon.
NUC University understood this reality and took it seriously - especially when it came to their School of Nursing. They needed to break through the noise and forge an emotional connection within minutes. Their challenge to us: build a bridge between passive curiosity and active application. One that could travel to recruitment events and bring the campus experience directly to students.
The stakes were high. In a competitive educational landscape, first impressions aren’t just important - they’re everything.

The Project
A Virtual Portal to Your Future Career
We designed an immersive journey combining 360° Matterport scans with the magic of VR, brought to life on Meta Quest 3 headsets.
Guided by Nacho, the university’s charismatic 3D host, students can step into each nursery lab and interact with hotspots that bring the environment to life. From detailed equipment breakdowns and procedure explanations, to mini trivia challenges that tested their knowledge in real time, this experience not only introduces future students into the spaces, but challenges their intellect for an extra layer of engagement.
We didn’t just digitize spaces - we created engaging, educational encounters within them.
The full experience debuted at Aesthetics World USA in New York City, instantly grabbing the attention of prospective students and industry professionals alike.

The Result
From "Maybe Someday" to "Where Do I Sign Up?"
The VR Labs experience revolutionized NUC’s recruitment approach overnight. While other universities continued handing out glossy viewbooks, NUC invited students to step into their future.
But this isn't just a tech demo - it is an emotional journey. Students can picture themselves in space, using real tools, and practicing real skills. Instead of imagining nursing school, they experience it.
The impact extends beyond recruitment. What began as a curiosity for university administrators quickly became a source of pride - a symbol of NUC’s commitment to innovation in both education and technology.
By combining innovative technology with purposeful design, we created more than a virtual tour - we built an experience that reflects what modern education can look like.
For students, it offered clarity. Instead of imagining themselves at NUC, they could see it - and decide with confidence:
“This feels right.”
